Dave spent a significant amount of time in Gates' and customers' manufacturing facilities leading and working on process and quality improvement teams. Dave also led technical licensing programs, which involved transferring a power steering assembly operation. While investigating acquisition or joint venture opportunities Dave would spend countless hours evaluating manufacturing facilities. Processes he is most familiar with are listed below |

Mixing Injection press molding - Fill characteristics of a mold - Velocity of the fill. Too fast the rubber will scorch or too slow begin the curing process early before fill is complete - Reversible mandrel so you would fill and cure ½ while removing and trimming the other half - Reduced flash = reduced processing after cure
